plan could ever need

From a simple single will to complex multi-generational estate structures — we have the expertise to handle it all with precision and care.

Service 01

Will Writing

A professionally drafted will is the cornerstone of any estate plan. We create legally watertight documents that clearly express your wishes, appoint trusted guardians for minor children, and ensure your assets pass exactly where you intend.

This service includes
  • Single or mirror wills for couples
  • Appointment of executors and guardians
  • Specific and residuary bequests
  • Testamentary trusts within wills
  • Funeral wishes and special instructions
  • Secure digital storage of signed document
✦ Fixed, transparent pricing — quote provided on consultation
Service 02

Estate Planning

Comprehensive planning that looks beyond a simple will. We analyse your total estate — property, investments, pensions, businesses — and create a strategy to maximise what you pass on while minimising tax liabilities.

This service includes
  • Full estate review and asset mapping
  • Inheritance Tax (IHT) mitigation strategies
  • Nil-rate band and RNRB optimisation
  • Gifting strategies and seven-year rules
  • Pension nomination review
  • Business relief and agricultural property relief
✦ Fixed, transparent pricing — quote provided on consultation
Service 03

Lasting Power of Attorney

An LPA allows you to appoint one or more trusted people to make decisions on your behalf if you lose mental capacity. Without one, even family members may be unable to manage your affairs — and the courts may need to appoint a deputy.

This service includes
  • Property & Financial Affairs LPA
  • Health & Welfare LPA
  • Choice of attorneys and replacement attorneys
  • Certificate provider guidance
  • OPG registration and submission
  • Plain English explanations throughout
✦ Fixed, transparent pricing — quote provided on consultation
Service 04

Trust Formation

Trusts are powerful tools for protecting assets for vulnerable beneficiaries, disabled family members, minor children, or situations where you want to control how and when assets are distributed.

This service includes
  • Discretionary trusts
  • Life interest (life tenant) trusts
  • Protective property trusts
  • Vulnerable beneficiary trusts
  • Bare trusts for minors
  • Trustee appointment and guidance
✦ Fixed, transparent pricing — quote provided on consultation
Service 05

Probate Services

Dealing with a loved one's estate after their passing is emotionally and practically challenging. Our probate service handles the legal and administrative process so that executors are not left to navigate it alone.

This service includes
  • Grant of Probate or Letters of Administration
  • HMRC IHT return preparation
  • Asset identification and valuation guidance
  • Creditor notifications and debt settlement
  • Estate accounts and beneficiary distributions
  • Ongoing executor support
✦ Fixed, transparent pricing — quote provided on consultation
Service 06

Property Protection

For many people, their home is their most valuable asset. Property protection trusts can help shield your home from potential future care costs and ensure it passes to your intended beneficiaries rather than being used for care fees.

This service includes
  • Protective property trust wills
  • Severance of joint tenancy
  • Care fee assessment guidance
  • Explanation of deprivation of assets rules
  • Tenants-in-common arrangements
  • Ongoing estate review
✦ Fixed, transparent pricing — quote provided on consultation

Frequently Asked Questions

Answers to your
questions

Everything you need to know about wills, estate planning, and our services. Can't find what you're looking for? Get in touch.

Do I really need a will? Can't my family just sort it out?
+
Without a will, your estate is distributed under the Rules of Intestacy — a rigid legal formula that may not reflect your wishes at all. Unmarried partners receive nothing regardless of how long you've been together. If you have minor children, there's no provision for who cares for them. Even married couples can face complications. A will ensures your assets go exactly where you want them to.
How much does it cost to write a will?
+
We operate on a fixed-fee basis, so there are no hourly rates or hidden charges. We'll always provide a clear, transparent quote before any work begins — tailored to exactly what you need. Many clients find the peace of mind is worth far more than the cost. Book a free consultation and we'll discuss the most appropriate options for your situation.
What is an LPA and why do I need one?
+
A Lasting Power of Attorney (LPA) is a legal document that lets you appoint someone you trust to make decisions on your behalf if you lose mental capacity due to illness or injury. There are two types: one covering property and financial affairs, and one covering health and welfare. Without an LPA, even your spouse or children would be unable to manage your affairs and would need to apply to the Court of Protection — a costly and lengthy process.
How long does the process take?
+
A straightforward will can typically be drafted and signed within 1–2 weeks of your initial consultation. LPAs take longer due to the OPG registration process — typically 8–20 weeks from submission. Complex estate planning engagements may take longer, but we'll always keep you informed of timescales at the outset.
What happens to my will once it's signed?
+
We store your will in our secure, encrypted digital vault free of charge as part of our service. We'll provide you with a copy, and your executors can contact us at any time to access the stored original. We recommend informing your executors of our details so they know exactly who to contact when the time comes.
How often should I update my will?
+
We recommend reviewing your will every 3–5 years, or whenever there is a significant life change — marriage, divorce, birth of a child or grandchild, death of a beneficiary, significant change in assets, or moving house. Marriage automatically revokes an existing will in England and Wales, so this is particularly important to remember.
Can I reduce inheritance tax through estate planning?
+
Yes, in many cases significant IHT savings are possible through proper planning. Strategies include making use of available allowances (nil-rate band, residence nil-rate band), gifting, establishing trusts, using business or agricultural property relief, and pension planning. Every estate is different, and the potential savings depend on your specific circumstances. A consultation with our estate planning team will identify what's achievable for you.
